Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025 : Twelve in a row for MCB

MCB has obtained the ‘Best Bank in Mauritius’ award as part of the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025. This prestigious recognition has been bestowed to the bank for the 12th consecutive year. The Awards for Excellence are praised by leading banks and bankers since 1992.

Euromoney explains that the MCB "has demonstrated exceptional performance." The publication notes that the bank has more than 1.2 million customers and a domestic loan portfolio equivalent to 26% of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), including 42% of total loans to large corporations and SMEs.

On the innovation front, MCB has demonstrated significant progress in digital technology, particularly in improving customer experience and operational efficiency. Euromoney cites the Juice app, which has seen "significant security improvements." Euromoney also commented on the launch of the Juice Tap feature, which aims to facilitate contactless payments via smartphone.
