MCB Juice operates in a secure environment certified by Norton Secured and uses multi-factor authentication, including biometric login (fingerprint or Face ID) and mPIN protection. You will also receive email and SMS notifications whenever a new registration is initiated. Your beneficiaries do not have access to your bank account details, and your account does not display theirs. For added security, avoid storing third-party biometrics on your device and ensure your mPIN remains confidential.
Yes, you can send funds to anyone as long as you have their account number or they are registered as a ‘Juice beneficiary’. Even if the beneficiary is not an MCB customer, they can collect funds via a secure ATM withdrawal process.
Yes. Updating your mobile number ensures you continue receiving One-Time Passwords (OTPs) via SMS, which are required to register for Juice or to link a non-MCB account.
To continue using MCB Juice on a new device, follow these steps:
Notifications can be disabled/enabled directly on your phone settings through the following paths:
Yes, you can access MCB Juice from anywhere as long as your device is connected to the Internet.
If you no longer wish to use the app, you can simply uninstall it from your device.
If your phone is lost or stolen, contact us immediately on 202 6070 or visit any MCB branch to deactivate the app and secure your account.
Yes, you can apply for a home or personal unsecured loan on MCB Juice in the “Offers” section on the main page. Click here to view our online loan application FAQ.
For more information, please contact your respective account officer, call us on 202 6070 or visit your nearest MCB branch.
You can download the application from App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei App Gallery. If you are a Huawei user, we recommend getting the app from Huawei App Gallery for a better user experience. To find the app quickly, type “MCB Juice” in the search bar and select the top result.
The application is compatible with iOS 14 and above for iPhone users, Android 7 and above for Android and Huawei users.
For security reasons, MCB Juice is not supported on jailbroken or rooted devices.
App updates may take some time to appear on all app stores. Please try again after a few hours. If you’re using an Android device, clearing the cache of the Google Play Store can help. [Device Settings > Application Manager > Google Play Store > Storage > Clear Cache].
The new identity proofing feature adds an extra layer of security to the MCB Juice app to protect against identity theft and fraud. It requires you to submit a photo of your National Identity Card (NIC) if you are Mauritian, or your passport if you are a foreigner, along with a selfie to verify your identity.
This process verifies your identity to ensure that only you can access your account. It is designed to protect you from unauthorised access and enhance the security of your account.
Jumio is a trusted partner specialising in identity verification services. They help us securely verify your personal and financial information to protect your account. Rest assured that all information shared with Jumio is handled with strict confidentiality and is not shared with third parties.
You may attempt the identity proofing process up to three times.
If you are unsuccessful after three attempts, please contact our Contact Centre at 2026070. Our team will assist you in resetting your attempts and guide you through the process.
Yes. We handle your personal information in full compliance with local regulations and have obtained all required approvals for this feature. Your privacy and data protection remain our top priorities.
To complete the identity proofing process, you must have your National Identity Card (for Mauritian residents) or Passport (for foreigners) available. Please ensure you have the required document before starting the process.
Make sure the photos are taken in a well-lit environment with your ID or Passport clearly visible. Hold your device steady and avoid glare or reflections. You can attempt the process up to three times. If you continue to experience difficulties, please visit one of our branches for assistance.
Currently, the identity proofing feature requires a National Identity Card if you are Mauritian or a valid Passport if you are a foreigner. Other forms of identification are not accepted at this time.
The identity proofing process is specifically designed to prevent this from happening. The identity proofing feature verifies submitted photos and information against our records. If the details do not match, the registration will be declined. Without your actual National Identity Card and a matching selfie, unauthorised users cannot complete the registration
You will need a smartphone with a camera and the latest version of the MCB Juice app on that device. Ensure you have a stable internet connection for a smooth process.
The identity proofing process is mandatory for all new registrations and re-registrations on the MCB Juice app. However, when increasing your Daily Fund Transfer Limit, you will be required to complete the identity proofing process, and in this specific case, you may choose not to proceed.
Yes. As long as you have your National Identity Card (if you are Mauritian) or Passport (if you are a foreigner) with you, you can complete the identity proofing process from anywhere in the world.
Select “Forgot mPIN” on the login screen. If you have not completed the identity proofing process before, you will be asked to capture your National Identity Card (NIC) or passport (for foreigners) and take a selfie. If you have already completed the identity proofing, only a selfie will be required.
Touch ID/fingerprint authentication allows you to log in to your MCB Juice app with any of the fingerprints that you’ve set up on your device, instead of your mPIN. Your biometrics details remain stored on your device and will never be kept on the app itself.
Touch ID/fingerprint authentication recognises all fingerprints registered on your device. To protect your app and personal data, we recommend only registering your own fingerprints on your device.
Your device name may not be accepted by the system if it contains special characters (e.g., $£%&*#). Please check your device name in your phone’s settings, remove any special characters, and try registering again.
As a security measure, you will receive an email and SMS notification whenever a new device is used to access your MCB Juice account. These messages will include details such as the date, time, and device model for easy identification. If you did not initiate this registration, please contact your account officer or call us immediately at 202 8080. We also recommend keeping your contact details up to date to ensure you receive important notifications.

A digital card is a digital version of your existing physical debit or credit card. It is stored within your MCB Juice app itself and allows you to make contactless payments using only your phone. This service is currently available only for Android and Huawei devices with Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.
Near Field Communication (NFC) is a technology that enables secure transactions, digital content exchange, and device connectivity through a simple tap or close proximity of devices. NFC works over a short range, typically from direct contact up to a few centimetres.
Digitalising my card offers:
Enhanced security: Your real card details are not shared during transactions, reducing the risk of fraud.
Convenience: Make quick payments by tapping your phone on the card reader—no need to carry your physical card or wallet.
All MasterCard and VISA cards (except VISA debit) are eligible for digitalisation.
Note: This feature is only available for Android and Huawei devices.
To digitalise your card, follow these steps:
You can use your digital card for contactless payments at any store that accepts mobile or contactless card payments. Pay with your MCB Juice digital card wherever contactless cards are accepted.
There are two ways to pay with a digital card:
Offline payment (No Internet connection required):

No. Your digital card can make up to 10 offline payments. This means you can make 10 payments without any internet connection and without having to open your MCB Juice app. To renew this quota, simply connect to an internet network and you will be allowed an additional 10 offline payments.
Digital cards are only available for Android and Huawei devices with NFC (Near Field Communication) capability. This service is not yet available for iPhone users, as Apple Pay has not been implemented in Mauritius for iOS devices.
If you have an Android or Huawei device, go to your phone’s settings, click on ‘Connections’ and ensure the ‘NFC and contactless payments’ option is enabled. If you cannot see this option, your device is not compatible.
Yes, you can use your digital card internationally wherever the card network (e.g. VISA, MasterCard) and contactless payments are accepted.
No. Digital cards cannot be used for online transactions.
Digital card details are displayed in the ‘Cards’ section on your MCB Juice app. Your dashboard will be split into two sections: Digital and Physical cards.

Please call the MCB Contact Centre on 202 6070 to proceed with the deactivation of your digital cards.

Transaction receipts can be shared via all channels available on your mobile phone, such as WhatsApp, Messenger, Email and Microsoft Teams. The receipts are now in PDF format, and can be saved directly on your device.
Receipts provide a summary of completed transactions such as transfers, bill payments, and refills. They are automatically generated once the transaction is successfully processed — except for ‘Own account transfers’, for which receipts are not issued.
When you tap the ‘Share’ button, you can share the transaction receipt in PDF format. Depending on your mobile device, you may also have the option to copy, save, or print the receipt.

For the time being, you will receive both SMS and in-app notifications for certain transactions. However, the SMS service will be discontinued in the coming months.
The Juice Mwa feature allows you to request funds from up to 10 peers in just a few steps:

All available billers are displayed under six main categories. You may also type the name of the biller in the search bar found at the top of the screen.
Note:
For payments to Government entities, please visit www.fasil.mu to obtain the payment reference required for MCB Juice.
You can choose which bills to pay and whether to pay them in full or partially. The minimum payment amount allowed is MUR 25.
Some billers receive your payment instantly, while others may take a few business days to process it. The expected processing time will be clearly indicated when you make your payment.
Please contact the biller directly to resolve the issue before making any payment through MCB Juice.
Currently, only accounts held in Mauritian Rupees (MUR) can be used to pay bills through MCB Juice.
This feature, now called Cardless Cash, allows you to withdraw cash at MCB ATMs without using your card. You can find it in the ‘Transact’ module of the app.
Rest assured, the recipient will not be able to collect the funds if he/she does not have the 4-digit Payment PIN. Uncollected funds will be automatically refunded to your account after 48 hours.
A cardless cash transaction is valid for 48 hours. If the funds are not collected within this period, the transaction is automatically cancelled, and the funds are credited back to sender’s account.
This is part of the ‘Request to Pay’ feature, which allows registered e-commerce merchants to send a payment request directly to your MCB Juice app.
To use this feature:
Note:
You have five minutes to confirm or reject the payment. After this time, the request will expire, and you’ll need to restart the payment process from the e-commerce website.
PayPal services on Juice are available to Mauritian residents aged 18 and above who have:
A PayPal account is not a bank account—it’s a virtual wallet used to send and receive money securely online. You can use it to pay for goods and services, or to receive payments.
Note: No interest is earned on your PayPal balance.
PayPal offers a secure, fast, and convenient way to pay online:
Go to the ‘PayPal’ option on MCB Juice. You will then be redirected to the PayPal website where you can follow the steps to create your account. Once created, the PayPal account will be automatically linked to your MCB Juice app.
PayPal uses the highest levels of data encryption available and meets all Payment Card Industry (PCI) data protection standards imposed by the main credit card associations worldwide, which allows you to do your transactions securely.
You will be able to perform the following PayPal transactions on the new app:
PayPal supports multiple currencies, but on MCB Juice, you can only view and transact with the USD balance in your PayPal account. Other currency balances are not displayed or converted.
For example, if you hold balances in EUR or GBP but none in USD, MCB Juice will show USD 0.00, even if your overall PayPal account holds funds.
This means the address linked to your PayPal account is not set to Mauritius. To use PayPal services on MCB Juice, your PayPal account must be registered with a Mauritian address.
Check your PayPal account settings to confirm the country. If it’s not set to Mauritius, you’ll need to close the existing account and create a new one with the correct address.
PayPal does not currently support the Mauritian Rupee (MUR). As a result, all transactions via PayPal on MCB Juice are processed in US Dollars (USD).
To transfer funds, simply enter the email address linked to the recipient’s PayPal account.
Opening a PayPal account and sending money are free of charge by both MCB and PayPal.
Tap on the 3 dots from the PayPal Dashboard, then select “Unlink PayPal Account”.
Contact PayPal immediately via the ‘Contact Us’ or ‘Help’ options in your PayPal account.

However, these values may not always reflect the exact current market value and should not be considered a guarantee that a transaction can be made at the displayed price.
